The weather in Buenos Aires in December is humid and temperatures can range from low eighties to mid nineties (Fahrenheit). Think Chicago or New York weather in the Summer!
If you are planning on spending a few days visiting Buenos. Aires, bring light comfortable clothes -summer dresses, walking shorts, t-shirts and tank tops and comfortable shoes. You may want to pack a few nice (but casual) outfits to go out in the evenings if you want to explore the city’s night life!
From New York, American Airlines has frequent non-stop flights. If you are flying from Chicago, United Airlines may still have non-stop flights. Otherwise, fly American! From NorCal or SoCal, American Airlines is the bride’s recommended airline, connecting in Dallas or New York. If you can, always avoid connecting in Miami —less rest because you will be taking two separate 6+ hour flights, more delays and generally more chaos.
Buenos Aires is a safe city. That said, like in many cosmopolitan cities with high volume of tourists, you should exercise judgment and be cautious. We recommend you be careful with phones and cameras, leave passports in your hotel room safe, and do not wear expensive watches or jewelry in the street —yes, that includes your engagement rings, ladies. If you need a ride, take an Uber instead of a random taxi on the street.
